Dandi Wind is a gothic/concrete/new wave (taken from their myspace, I wouldn't know what to call them) band hailing from Vancouver, Canada that is now based in Montreal. I've seen them play twice live and both times I was stunned by the stage presence of Dandi, their front woman. The outfits she parades on stage in are fantastical enough to induce anyone into dreams of ruffles and leather, dark forests and open fields. Random tidbit: She swears her real name is Dandilion Wind Opaine, and that she was raised by hippies in a remote cabin in central BC with no electricity or running water. Need I say more?
