What I'm Wearing

We just hit a bout of pretty hot weather. Well, as hot as Vancouver gets anyways. I was enjoying the streak of 20 degree weather we were having, but this isn't too hard to handle. I've been dressing very casually lately, trying to somehow incorporate the ridiculously bright shorts I bought last summer into my wardrobe again. Let's hope it's not a failed attempt.

Everything I'm wearing is thrifted, with the exception of the shorts, which were bought from Suzy Shier. I love the triangle pattern on the belt. I seem to be developing a taste for handmade crafty things lately. I'll see where that takes me.

the belt and scarf are well paired with the shorts, toning down the brightness just enough.

The scarf is fabulous... where did you get that?!
It's a really well put together.

I really like the belt, too. It has a very '70s feel. The way you tied your scarf is nice, as well.

Oh, I love everything you are wearing here.

The belt is lovely -- it reminds me a bit of native American quilt/beadwork that is quite common here in OK.

Sorry for the late reply guys! I've been working long shifts everyday lately. But no more of that soon!

Star Anise: As per usual, my scarf is from the thrift store I work at (Value Village). It was in the random fabric section. They never put the bigger scarves in the scarf section.

Susie: There isn't anything special about Suzy Shier. It's just your average mall store. You can find a great item absolutely anywhere you look!

Anonymous: Easy! Fold a square scarf in half to make a triangle, hold the two far ends and wrap them around the back of your neck.

Belle Chantelle: I feel like a bit of a phony though. I'm not even Canadian-born! I'm from Romania. I am hoping to find some gorgeous folk pieces from my real home country when I go back to visit at the end of the month!

I LOVE this outfit! The shorts are long enough not to be bum shorts, short enough to be hot, and high enough to be cool without looking geeky.

How DOES she do it?
