Whaaat?
I was supposed to take a break to study finance today but I couldn't resist making this little post. A school friend of mine alerted me to this thread, where my blog is being discussed. It feels so surreal to have this parallel discussion going on that I didn't know about and that I can't even understand. Would anyone mind translating for me? Hopefully it's positive feedback! What's even more strange is that I've kept my blog relatively separate from my day to day school life, but now that it has come around full circle I'm feeling a bit jumpy. I guess it's because these people have seen me at my most awkward...

i can't help you on the translation, but from the title SHE IS SABRINA, i would think it's a compliment! plus, what can we say that is negative of you??
I think its a general open discussion. I dont know what the original poster said, but
the first reply says "support",
the second says "not" (sorry!),
the third says "Is very good"
fourth "Is tall and thin clothes from [??]"
fifth "fine to see a few good small ceremony dress" ?
sixth "very good"
and it goes on. i just used google translation tools, chinese to french. some words dont come through, they must be slang or something...

good luck!
xx brooke
Haha, I was taking a break from my Chinese homework and checked your blog.
I don't understand it all, but it's mostly like "She is so tall... short skirts look good because she is tall and thin... she has a good body... blah blah blah"
That's so bizarre!
Let me try :P
original poster said:'I was not very impressed with her look or outfit at first sight. But I become a big fan after being following her blog update. I love her style b/c she doesnt just overdo those vintage looks, she rather dresses for her own pleasure. I love her b/c what she wear is full of inspiration.
Then poster said:'I think she looks better in tomboy style. Awesome!'
Actually, the second reply says 'NICE!'(which is 'bucuo' in chinese, i dont know why google translates it into 'not'...)
fourth "she's tall and thin. Those clothes look good(because they hang on Sabrina whose figure is like model) "
fifth "nice. I really love those cocktail dresses" ?
No worries. I assure u all posts are compliments~
Hope these are helpful. Excuse me for my broken english tho :P
Ah thanks for the help guys! I'm glad they're positive :) Funny how it always strays from clothes to bodies with women...
haha you are so not awkward. Don't even worry.
First post: When I first saw her, I felt that her style was average and her features were not especially pretty. At second glance, though, I was able to discern a unique air in her. She does not revive looks of past eras for the sake of it, but follows her own whims in dressing. That is the main reason why I like her.
Second post: Compared to feminine outfits, androgynous dressing suits her even more. Outstanding.
Some replies from others:
Quite nice… there are a few formal dress looks that are not bad.
Thin person. Her outfits are nicely put together.
What a nice figure.
How slim!
Nice… I like the dark-coloured outfits.
Androgynous looks really suit her more. I quite like them, they feel natural and practical.
Comfortable.
aw that is kinda cool, glad they are all nice! http://isnotfashion.blogspot.com/
Why did (whoever) brand all of your photos with that website?
A few months ago, there was a different Chinese forum that dissected me through about 18 pages worth of posts that hotlinked images from my blog (which sucked up all my bandwidth). I think it started as a post about style but soon people were critizing my body, my face, my expression (or lack of -- which I don't understand because I'm not trying to be a model). Luckily yours has been positive so far :)
I dunno Kevin! I found that weird too. You can't just take the photos of others and brand them as your own. Do I need to use a copyright disclaimer or something?
LOL that's funny and cool at the same time. It reminds me of when an American band becomes popular in Japan haha, but this is kinda close since that's Japanese they're using right? :p
Wow amazing! Have you ever tried punching the text into googletranslate? I use it a lot for Japanese emails! hahah give it a go and let me know how it goes!
this both equally funny, bizarre, and huh worthy.
well congrats on the feedback! thats so exciting
hopefully it all stays postivie, no reason why it shouldnt but people can get nasty!
I replied to you on my blog, but maybe I should've done it here instead. Thank goodness for copy + paste.
..
Aw, thanks! Don't worry, I shrugged off much of what they said. I was only irked that they used up all my bandwidth and being criticized for not smiling with my eyes since they clearly misinterpreted the point of this blog.
Luckily, I'm secure enough with my body that I just laughed at their comments instead. They're the type of people who think the ideal body are the girls in Hong Kong, which I think it far too thin and unhealthy looking. I get called fat in HK.
the language on that forum is not japanese, it's chinese. i should know because i learn both.
Luckily the comments are positive, but I feel sorry for yulanda. I also dislike that skinny, almost anorexic, is so hot in Hong Kong. So not healthy!
LOL this is really incredible!! Haha hmm i think it might be kinda hard to control what these Chinese blogs post on their site because well there are too many of them to control in my opinion. ;p It's pretty amazing that there's this whole thread going on halfway across the world though!
And hey nothing to be jumpy/embarrassed about... you always look really great in this blog. It's a blog of quality and style and it's something to be really proud of should anyone mention it to you in school or sth :)
