After taking photos outside of my boyfriend's place for this particular outfit post, I was planning to switch shoes for the trek back home to suburbia. Kevin told me to just switch them at the bus stop, so I kept my heels on, assuming the bus would take ages to come as usual. Unfortunately, just as I was crossing the street to the bus stop, it appeared! I ended up kissing the air instead of my boyfriend as I was in such a hurry to catch the bus that my feet started running before my brain caught up. And so I skittered/ran up the block in my slightly too-high heels. I didn't think I was capable of doing it without falling over!
I'm wearing a Nap tie-dye shirt, Costa Blanca sweater, thrifted skirt, Zara jacket and Topshop heels. I wish I had taken off the grandpa sweater for these photos. The outfit looks much better without it. Oh well, I threw on a sepia filter to distract you. Look! Sepia! Somewhere a photographer or graphic designer must be cringing.
I bought these heels during my trip to Prague last summer. I haven't worn them nearly often enough as I would feel kind of stupid teetering around campus potholes and puddles in them. As much as I love Topshop, I rarely shop online, especially when it comes to finicky things such as shoes. But now that a flagship store has opened in New York, I'm crossing my fingers for a Canadian expansion. What do you say Topshop?

I love this look! And I totally remember the sweater from when I worked at Costa Blanca last summer. I'm assuming you go to SFU... but no matter where you go, how are exams going for you? I'm almost finished mine!
Those shoes are hot! And with the socks over the tights... brilliant!
love the little socks with those shoes, and how you've got them all scrunched up.
I love the gray and yellow! I would never think to add socks to those shoes, but you pull it off well.
I like your skirt and your topshop heels! I haven't found many shoes at the Top Shop yet and I had a shocking experience trying on bathing suits there this past weekend. I am like double the size I was at home in Canada. I guess even though it's top shop the sizing is still Japanese! AIIEEEE! Think I'm going to try AA!
I love these pictures! We were told never to use filters in my design class, but the sepia is nice--very subtle. The grey cardigan is actually my favorite part of the outfit. It has the perfect fit and texture.
Wow, this outfit is great! I'm especially loving the yellow and the skirt. :]
Great dress. Amazing photos. What camera do you use? http://isnotfashion.blogspot.com

ooo i love the heels with socks on!!! you look so cute :)
It was said during NY Fashion Week by the ceo (or whatever) of Topshop that they were thinking 8-9 months until Canada got its own Topshop.
Sorry, six to nine months --
"But the really good news? Asked when Topshop will be opening in Canada, Sir Philip Green, owner of the megachain that has some 2,000 stores in 30 countries, replied: "Six to nine months.""

Mmmmmmm sepia. Lovely proportions. I love the thick, boxy jacket against the more fluid top and skirt.
Those shoes look sturdy enough for a bus run...done enough of those in my time...!
The socks over the tights in heels is fabulous!

amazing!
Honestly, I quite like it with the sweater. It makes the outfit seem more cosy and less fussy (not that it is with it, if you get what I mean...)
And hey, filters (sepia included) are your friend! :)
i love how you took layering from the top to your toes! suchhh cute tights/socks/heels look!
