Thrifting Day!

Today I finally ventures out to Value Village to spend a couple of hours scanning the racks. It's been so long since I've last been thifting that by the end of it I thought I could buy out the whole store! I'm still sad about a few pieces I had to let go. Here is what I wore today:

Vintage hat, thrifted blazer, Jacob sweater, H&M tee, Zara jeans, Aldo shoes.

And here is what I purchased:

Giant sequins! I love the way this sweater fits. It doesn't look like it came from a thrift store at all! Do you think that maybe Christopher Kane's famous sequined collection was inspired by something he found in a thrift store?

Just a cozy sweater. Can't get enough of them since it's still barely warming up here. I like the panels of different yarn.

This is quite honestly the best blazer I've ever scored second hand. It even has leather detailing!

Another great blazer. The green threads woven into have a slight sheen that I'm finding very appealing.

And lastly, a poofy purple dress that fits like a glove. It fits almost too well. So well that it's hard to move my arms... I tried to style it away from looking too much like an 80s prom dress. Success?

I hope I'll have more out in the daylight photos come April/May when the semester finishes. I'm getting bored of taking photos in the crappy lighting of my room.

I love Value Village but I can never find things that fit as well as yours do! All the cool sweaters are always extra large... I especially like the sequined one.

Wow, that black pailette-encrusted jumper is SO Christopher Kane it's almost too good to be true! I also love the brown blazer. I haven't been thrifting in a while either, I need to go sometime soon...

Yes, I am Vancouver too. I usually go to the VV on Victoria and 41st but haven't been in ages. I think the smaller, more suburban locations must be the best and less picked over. You made some great finds.

you make me want to dig out my half-finished giant sequin project...

I love both sweaters! I always get kind of turned off by sweaters while I'm thrifting--I guess I need to dig through all the gross ones to find the gems. Ugh, I want to go thrifting so badly, but I'm too busy right now.

Everything you found is so cool! The blazers especially, I'd be lucky enough to find one black one, let alone 2 very cool ones!

Has anybody ever told you you kinda look like Kristen Stewart. And I mean it as a compliment.
