Catching Up

This post is a day overdue because last night I had a silly insecure moment and couldn't bring myself to blog these outfits. Sometimes, especially when finals roll around, and I'm not feeling too adventurous, I like to don an easy outfit, but then I feel guilty about it when looking through the photos later. Somehow, just like clockwork, every time I head into exam season I'm tempted to put the blog on hold. Last December and January I completely disappeared. It isn't necessarily for a lack of time, because I still manage to waste plenty of hours on the net, but more because I think I should just simplify my life. But then I don't do anything productive to replace blogging! It's like having a midlife crisis biannually! I guess I'm a bit nutty. At least this time I'm catching myself in the act.

Tuesday I wore a thrifted denim jacket, Engine tank, Suzy Shier shorts and Aldo shoes. I really need to get myself another pair of comfy walking heels. At this rate these poor things will be destroyed by summer's end. I can handle the heels, but what heels can handle me? this pair is so tempting right now.

And today I wore a vintage lace top, school boy blazer and Terra Nova skinnies. I quite like wearing the sheer top but it received a few startled glances at school.

Anyways, sorry for the uninspired post today! Hopefully I'll be up and at it again soon.

Easy doesn't have to be bad, I like these and would be sad if you stopped blogging again! Love the sheer top especially.

I LOVE the last picture with the lace and the blazer. Perfection. Don't be insecure! You look fab! Trust me, I always feel insecure when I post pictures of my myself... I figure if someone thinks I'm butt ugly and unstylish they just won't read my blog. http://isnotfashion.blogspot.com

I know exaaaaactly how you feel... half the time I revert to tank tops, skinnies, and cardigans and feel hopelessly boring. The other half of the time, I'm trying to justify wearing a cape and platforms to the grocery store. I think the challenge is to reconcile what we wish we wore and all those beautiful looks we see in editorials with what works for us and our daily lives. I think consistence is a big part of style, and maybe we're just still growing into it :)

I have this white lace shirt that I'm dying to wear again (with a white bra/tube underneath of course) but I don't, unless I'm back home in my small town because I know it's going to be interpreted as a sexual thing and that completely aggravates me. I'm not inviting pick-up lines or hungry wolf stares.

I love those green shorts--I've been wanting colorful shorts. The lace shirt is amazing, too. You definitely shouldn't feel guilty about these.

I still want those aldo shoes in beige and they still haven't come out in that colour and I crave them even more when I see them on you! Did you see Park and Cube's post with the editorial where they changed the laces in them to gold?

I totally understand about putting a blog on hold during finals...I do the same and then still end up online!

I really love that lace top, but both outfits are so great.

Best of luck to you with finals!
