Vintage Ports Blazer

Wearing a thrifted blazer, dress, Aldo heels and yellow tights turned into shorts.

Yesterday I finished my last exam and then hung out with the boy to celebrate our second anniversary! We made ratatouille (inspired by one of our favourite movies) and had chocolate port and raspberry wine. Yum! It feels so strange to be finally done with school for the summer. I always have this lingering feeling that I should be memorizing this or writing that or waking up early for this or that. Last summer it lasted for a whole month! It's like having one of your limbs cut off and thinking it's still around every now and then... Strange.

Anyways, here is that vintage Ports wool blazer that I mentioned in my earlier post. I'm noticing that hot pink has really taken off this season. I tried to pair it with something other than black for a change though. How about yellow shorts? I'm not quite happy with the shoes in this outfit, but they are the best out of what I have so far.

I'm considering purchasing theseheels to round out my shoe collection a little bit. I have such a wide variety of shapes and colours and textures of clothes that it is often difficult to find shoes that go with them. Does anyone else have this problem? What sort of colours does one absolutely need? I love black but it doesn't go with everything, especially with this rainbow bright outfit.

tights in to shorts? that's a new diy idea. I am insanely jelous that you are out of school while, i, have two more monthes to go. As for shoes, those nude ones look great, and teal is a suprisingly versatile color. Gray is another neutral that isn't quite as harsh as black and can be worn with almost all colors.

You are absolutely rocking that outfit and I actually think the shoes go perfectly, they give it an air of sophistication. You look a bit like a Lacoste advert. Casual but preppy.

My problem with shoes is that I do feel I need some in every colour. So I pretty much have them in every other, and what I don't have yet I'm working on!

Those ones you've picked out are gorgeous. I'd be interested to see what you pair them with.

Congrats on your anniversary and finishing exams! I'm loving yellow and pink together--2 colors that I don't really even own.

I'd say that these shoes do work with the outfit, adding the unexpected elegance and lenght.
But, yes, nude is good for the summer,as well as lighter gray, still, if you don't have at least one pair of heals with flexible sole and smooth leather, don't go for heavy platform and suede, yet...
Go to the shoe shop and fit them barefoot, just to be sure...
What happened to the black sandals, fixed them?
Sorry if I sound patronizing, but i have some shoexperience, ha,ha..

congrats on everything. i think as far as shoes go, you need one bright pair, some black shoes, and some neutral colored shoes.

light gray, in velvet/suede/slightly fuzzy texture

of course, for the bare minimum, you should have some black shoes for business at least, some white shoes/sandals, and a pair of brights.

However, I am recently addicted to gray, not silver, the suede light gray, they go with everything, they look good with black shoed outfits, white shoed outfits, they help tone down a bright outfit without looking plain, and they gave a little extra to monochromatic outfits. The only color I can think of that doesn't go terribly well with gray is brown, but other than that I can't think of a situation where gray isn't appropriate. Of course, it also depends on the style of the shoes.

Congrats on finishing exams and on your anniversary! I definitely like the pink + yellow combination; it's quite nice! I agree that the shoes don't really go -- I think the shoes you linked to might have gone better in the sense that they match your skintone...

I didn't realize it, but my clothes have all become dark/neutral. Pretty much everything I have is navy blue, cream, gray, brown or black. I don't even like neutrals like that, but that's what I'm stuck with until I go shopping (or steal clothes from my mom)!
