DIY Dreaded Sweater

Finally, photos of the sweater I was working on Saturday afternoon! Check one diy project off the list! I guess I just needed a nudge in the form of a diy project request from Refinery 29. You can see the tutorial on their website here!

I am quite excited to see what other projects will come out of their new column. May I suggest Monster Mittens?

Oooh love this. Wonder how the dreads would look on a tee/tank? Might also make for an amazing summer look! Thanks for the inspiration!

Looks great! I love how the shoulders remind me of an elaborate marching band jacket. Also, congratulations on being featured TWICE on Refinery29!! I love their site, and think it's so great that they're taking notice of fashion bloggers.

Congrats on the feature! I love this DIY. It's really cool, but still very wearable. It's a nice translation of the Rodarte look.

Looks good! You should try the monster mittens so I can live vicariously through you!

Wow that is so dead-on Balmain...or something to that extent. And I'm unsure what I like more, the top and your talent or that amazing leather skirt. Perfect weather today for the latter too, cuz I'm guessing that's a sweat factory come summer :)

really cool, well done! My friend just gave me a cropped blazer with huge shoulders and I want to embellish it with beaded/sequined epaulettes....

I love how it turned out, from the back the fringe almost looks like wings! What a great idea!

I just saw this in refinery29 and thought it was amazing, despite all the (stupid) negative comments, I think it's rather special. They remind me of angel wings texture! I can imagine this to cover the whole sweater hehe, thanks so much for the diy!
